Ajayi Emmanuel Onaivi is a Lecturer in the Department of Building, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. I’m currently a PhD candidate in Building Structures at the same institution, where I previously obtained my M.Sc. in Building Structures and B.Sc. in Building. A Registered Builder with the Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON) and a Corporate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB), I combine strong academic grounding with extensive industry experience.

My teaching portfolio covers Structural Mechanics & Strength of Materials, Theory of Structures,

Reinforced Concrete Design, Soil Mechanics, Construction Technology, and Computer Applications in Building Construction. My research interest focuses on Sustainable Construction Materials, particularly the use of agricultural and industrial waste as supplementary cementitious materials to improve concrete strength and durability while reducing environmental impact. My emerging work explores performance of functionally graded concrete and sustainable material in the construction industry.

I am committed to advancing sustainable construction practices through research, teaching, and professional engagement, with the goal of promoting environmentally responsible and structurally efficient building solutions.
